The Dress

Romantic vintage Jenny Packham Eden Wedding Dress size 8, white. This dress has extremely beautiful beading and embroidery of flowers and a flattering fit that would suit most body types. It consists of 2 pieces- a simple silk slip that could be worn on its own and a separate sheer slip with glass beading and stunning crystal embroidery of flowers that slides over the top. The straps of the under slip are adjustable.

I purchased this dress vintage. It had one previous owner and I am asking less than half of what I paid for it. I fell in love with this dress as I loved the romantic vintage feel. I was 3 months pregnant with our second baby when we got married and the beauty of this dress was that it could accommodate my growing baby bump. It is designed to be slightly loose but it was tighter on me in the bust and waist due to our baby. It has gorgeous beaded cap sleeves, and is really lovely how it flairs out at the bottom. Buttons down the back. We eloped and had a beach wedding and I received so many compliments on this dress!

It is very comfortable and can be worn with flats or heels. I wore beaded sandals for our beach wedding and then changed into high heels for dinner. The dress is also extremely comfortable and although beaded it was not overly delicate and I felt comfortable moving, eating, and dancing in it.

I am a size 6-8 when not pregnant and was an 8-10 probably when wearing the dress as I had gained 6 kilos by the time of our wedding. It was sold to me as a size 8 but I have just noticed when going over it prior to selling that the slip has UK 10 on it. I would call it an 8 though as that was the size of the bride who sold it to me (we exchanged measurements via email). I'm 160cm tall and felt the dress looked much better with heels with my height but I didn't want heels sinking into the sand for the ceremony. I wore silver heels for dinner but this dress would also work lovely with white or champagne coloured heels. The dress has not been altered and although it does have some minor beading missing - some small beads here and there - this is not noticeable when the dress is worn and I didn't notice any missing beading when I wore it. I did not wear the dress long as we had a late afternoon wedding and although we organised a baby sitter for our daughter I was so tired due to being pregnant that we had an early night.

It has been professionally dry cleaned and is in beautiful condition. Postage is included and it will be packaged carefully.

I would also recommend googling Jenny Packham Eden as there are so many beautiful photos of this dress online and unfortunately we didn’t get photos that really focussed on the dress. This dress is the white version. I’m very happy to try and answer questions as well. This is a really special dress!
