The Dress

About the Dress
This dress is a 2016 Pronovias Lace Dress. It is fitted at the bust and bodice and flares out to a beautiful dress with a lengthy train in the back (scalloped lace around the border of the train). The dress is a beige but the overlay lace is a white/ivory. The top of the dress is sheer with white lace overlay on the sheer paneling on top. The sheer paneling on top with the lace, gives a bit of cover up, suppport for the bust (dress stays up which is harder when you have a sweetheart neckline) while still giving the feel of a sweetheart neckline. The back of the dress also has sheer paneling with some lace on the back sheer panel. The skirt/bottom half off the dress has tulle layers underneath which could be removed based on preference. Already has buttons for bustle should you choose to wear the dress to your reception and need to bustle it so you can bust a move.

Did I mention an absolutely stunning handmade lace train? You are going to look amazing walking down an aisle.

About the Wear
Worn once by me, only for my reception, not at church in morning. Was professionally dry cleaned, stored and preserved, immediately after wedding reception. Has never been worn outside.

About the Cost
I spent $3,800 for the dress plus tax and paid $300 to have it professionally dry cleaned and preserved. If you buy this dress you get to keep the keepsake box that it was preserved in.

About Me
I live in the Chicagoland area. So if you are near, you can come try on the dress. I am between 5 foot 5 and 5 foot 6. I weighed about 150 pounds at the time of my wedding. I have a larger bust and a fairly flat stomach. This dress fit my build height pretty well. If you were a little larger than me or had a slightly larger bust you could likely still fit this dress. If you were taller, the dress would still look very nice since i had on 2 inch heels. If you are shorter (and not willing to wear longer heels) or thinner you may want to have the dress hemmed or taken in. But let me assure you, this dress looks beautiful on and will make you feel like a princess.

Alterations
I had the dress taken up about three inches in length. The scalloped border around the train still remains. I had the waist taken in about an inch. The dress has a bustle at the back which you can use if you want to wear this to your reception and don't want a long train dragging behind you as you bust a move.
