About the Dress

Get the young, fresh, European look! A rouched taffeta corset bodice, laced down the back. The corset bodice is heavily boned for great support. The full skirt is made up of many layers of tulle falling into a train. There are 3 bows on the tulle skirt: one being a feature. The gown comes with a detachable underskirt which when worn makes the skirt look full but when the underskirt is removed the dress falls to the knees on the front of the dress and still into the long train at the back.

History: Purchased in the most beautiful city in the world - Paris - on a trip with my Mum. The following alterations were made by Diane Lewis Couture in Sydney: (1) Alterations to bring the original size 10 into a size 8. (2) Cups inserted. (3) Additional tulle added to the bottom half of the dress to improve the look further. (4) Hook and eye added to the top of the corset. (5) Press stud clip added to perfectly hold the underskirt to the train. (6) For use when the underskirt is removed: 3 press stud clips to perfectly hold the dress up a little bit shorter so it sits perfectly on the knees. This does not have to be used if you would rather the dress fall lower down the leg. These alterations added considerable value to the dress.
