The Dress

This stunning dress was designed by Sydney couturier Alison Davis for my wedding in Hawaii on March 7, 2017.

I consulted with incredibly talented Alison for 6 months over the hand sewn design and she made a number of personal touches that made it turn out even more beautiful than I could have hoped. It photographed flawlessly and I felt like a veritable goddess wearing this dress! It was perfect for the balmy Hawaiian weather and if you love it to, I hope you'll have the chance to feel the way I did as it's simple too stunning not to be worn again.

There's some extra special elements to this dress that will make it a hit on the day. It is sophisticated and alluring with the figure hugging soft French silk skirt, plunging delicately detailed neckline and beautiful pussy bow halter tie that drapes elegantly down your bare back. And it is also feminine and elegant, with the tulle overlay softening the lines, giving the handbeaded detailing a stunning blur effect and adding voluminous drama with the light train. The full ensemble was perfect for the daytime ceremony and for the evening you can do what I did, and take the tulle off for a more dramatic , cocktail look that is very 1950's glamour.

The dress is a 3 piece set so not only does it give you the flexibility on your special day to change your look over the course of the evening but as each piece can be worn independently on it's own it's incredibly versatile. The skirt is a separate piece and you could wear it ala Sharon Stone (Oscars classic - https://au.pinterest.com/pin/402368547932486193/) with a shirt to another cocktail event. The tulle overlay can be removed and worn as you desire and the top/bodysuit you could easily wear with a shorter skirt or a great pair of tailored shorts.

The dress accentuates curves in all the right places and it is incredibly comfortable to wear with the skirt a light silk with a bit of stretch and the intricately beaded bodice covered on the reverse with added silk so that it's smooth on your skin. The embroidered appliqués and beading provides enough coverage that you can wear a silicon cup underneath, so there is no need to wear a bra.

I'm 170cm tall and wore a pair of Fendi heels with the dress that are 10cm high. The dress can be altered in length.

The dress has been freshly dry cleaned by Blue & White Dry Cleaners in Crows Nest for $400 who were recommended to me by Marry Me Bridal Mosman .

I ordered a size 8 top/bodysuit and a size 10 skirt that was taken in to skim my body more. The lovely silk skirt has some stretch to it and the bodysuit is flexible, with the bottom part of the body suit stretch material. I technically did fit into the size 8 skirt and am normally a standard 8, but I chose to tailor it to fit instead of trying to diet to fit into the skirt as the size 8 was a bit too fitted for my liking.
