About the Dress

A beautifully romantic and flattering Augusta Jones 'Juno' dress which I had altered to be more like the 'Ally' dress; I wanted it to be A-line fit instead of the Trumpet fit. I asked Augusta Jones to make a sheer laced neckline with scalloped edging and also asked for the original strapless straight neckline to be sweetheart. Furthermore I had this amazing designer add a large number of fabric-covered buttons down the back to further add to the elegance of this dress.

As I am naturally curvaceous with a smaller waist and shapely thighs, I found this dress hugged in all the right places. It accentuated my waist especially with addition of the embellished silk belt and the high sheer back didn't highlight the back fat :-) ...which admittedly was my apprehension with choosing the Juno dress initially as the original design was/is strapless.

The dress is in excellent condition with no flaws visible to the eye (I searched for any marks/flaws after having the dress dry-cleaned and to my perfectionist eye :-) I couldn't see any flaws as such. Since having the dress dry-cleaned (within two days after my wedding), I have had it preserved in a 'space bag' specially designed/intended for wedding dresses.

**Please note, the photos I have taken show the dress as being more cream -- this is just the lighting in my home. The dress is ivory.
