The Dress

This is a beautiful size 8 (US size 4) Mia Solano dress that I got married in last September. It's Ivory in colour, 57 from hollow to hem and was originally bought for £1125.

I tried on so, so many dresses because I am naturally very slim, with a very small bust... and I was quite frantic about getting the right one. In the end, though, I should have just gone with my gut instinct on this - the very first dress I tried!

I found it really emphasised a small figure as opposed to most dresses that just seemed to drown me! It has a very flattering neck line, and the tulle panel really emphasises the bust. The structure, tiered effect and the beautiful all-over diamond and lace details really make an impact too. It also has a small circular, but beautifully detailed, train.

The dress not only gives great shape to a slim figure, but the attention to detail and layers are striking and flattering. In my opinion the tiers are very unique when compared to other designs too. Equally, this dress flows and feels very comfortable to wear and is great for dancing.

I am a small A cup bust size, but the lace-up back on this dress gives more versatility around the bust. There wasn't any need for alteration, either, because of the lace-up back and the structure around the bust.

The only slight alteration to the dress was to the tiers. The dress is now 57 from hollow to hem. I am 5'6, but I wore small kitten heels on my wedding day - so this would definitely work for someone slightly shorter with bigger heels.

I love this dress and it will be difficult to part with it but, looking at my photos, it would be lovely to think that someone else can get the same enjoyment out of it that I have.
