About the Dress

From Jenny Yoo, "The Genevieve gown evokes a feeling of romance from days past. Anchored by a fully boned, semi sheer bodice, diaphanous layers of silk organza float effortlessly off of your shoulders and into a full A line skirt. The entire gown is adorned by a sprawling embroidered floral applique that moves organically through the fabric as though it grew there."

This is a dreamy, romantic dress made of silk organza. There are beautiful hand sewn linen buttons down the entire backside of the dress, but a wonderful perk is the hidden zipper to easily get the gown on without needing to deal with buttons (best of both worlds!). The bodice is semi-sheer with boning for structure. The entire gown is covered in large, embroidered floral appliques. There is a feminine ruffle along the bottom hem.

My favorite part of the dress was that it was extremely lightweight to wear. While there is a beautiful cathedral train that extends out the back with extra fabric for dramatic photos, a second reception dress is not needed because the gown weighs next to nothing (thanks to the silk organza). Also - the sleeves are detachable for a second look!

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned, steamed and pressed into it's original state.

I had my tailor sew a ballroom bustle into this gown. I have a video with instructions from the tailor that I am happy to share that gives easy instructions for how to complete this bustle!

Alterations

Dress has been altered (bridal label size 16, fits closer to a label size 14 with alterations). A ballroom bustle has been sewn into the gown. I am happy to share an instructional video from the tailor that explains how to perform the bustle.
