About the Dress

This amazing dress is an absolute classic with a modern twist from Jane Hill. I loved every moment in it and felt amazing.
Please note that the dress was taken in quite a bit as I think the sizing was a little overestimated. It fits a 6-8 - I think the bodice especially is more for a small 8.
It has a tight bodice with pleating detail as pictured.
The skirt is fitted but not overly tight and is overlayed by a gorgeous and very flattering overskirt.
It has a reasonable slit which when when standing straight is roughly a handspan above the knee.

The dress has been dry cleaned and is as good as new for a brand new owner!

Alterations

The main alterations are as follows:
- The bust has two removable cups in there for support
- The bust has been taken in significantly from the original sizing
- The pleats have been secured in a few places to prevent then folding in odd ways
- The overskirt has been bustled (which was an excellent idea)
- The underskirt has been shortened to suit my height with my heels.
