The Dress
This A-line Essence of Australia dress is characterized by beading including some sequins and pearls on a lace applique that is concentrated around the bust and torso and then again toward the hem of the dress. There is a surprise glint with a sequins layer beneath two layers of tulle (one ivory, one champagne) that give the skirt a shimmer with movement. The label is a size 12 but some alterations were performed, primarily to take in the bust. Buttons for bustling were also added. The dress needs to be cleaned but besides some minor dirt at hemline of the satin lining, the dress is in like-new condition.
Alterations
Bust was reduced and cups were moved accordingly. The dress was slightly shortened but still skimmed the ground. Current owner is 5' 8" but dress was tailored to accommodate 3" platform heels.
