The Dress

Selling my custom-made dress made pure silk genuine Louise Alvarez Couture created for my August 2024 wedding

Key info:
- Would fit a size 8-10. Inspired by Savannah Miller’s “Danielle” dress, created for British model Danielle Copperman.
- Fabric is a beautiful ivory silk, dress is fully lined. Exquisite bodice corsetry and draping. The skirt section features a godet- this is an extra panel of fabric that gives the skirt extra volume and movement.
A key feature at the back are the fifteen silk- covered buttons, and loops and one spare button.
The sleeves are separate so you can choose to not wear them at all, or wear just for ceremony, or for the entire event as I did. They are silk and have elastic inside.
The versatility of this dress means it is suitable for a church wedding or a more casual outdoor /garden ceremony.
- Professionally dry cleaned and in perfect condition, no marks. As you can see, I did not wear fake tan for my wedding day.
- Bustle option, by hooking a small loop under hem onto a button at waist. Also, extra loops under hem so train can be looped and worn around right wrist for dancing. In the video I have let go of the ribbon that is part of the hem/ loop system, (in order to focus on the bouquet toss)- so I grabbed the entire hem and draped it at my elbow- but I could have continued to hold the ribbon, as it fits over the wrist.
