About the Dress

Vivienne Westwood long cocotte. Purchased from Vivienne Westwood, Davies St, London.

This is a classic Vivienne Westwood 2024 Long Cocotte gown in Silk Satin. The colour is pearl white (ivory). The dress has a modest train, the Vivienne corset, and flattering "slim A-line" skirt. The size is UK 8 top and UK 10 skirt. I loved how this gown fit me—it was snatched in the waist, with softer draping around my hips and thighs. I was a true UK 8 on the day of the wedding and it fit perfectly. The fabric has a beautiful sheen when photographed.

It has had slight alterations to tuck up the front neckline but this is pinned so can be taken down. The sleeves were also altered slightly to tie in with the altered neckline.

I am 5ft9 and wore 3.5 inch heels on the day so the dress had minimal alterations to the length and can be further altered to suit most heights.

There are marks at the bottom of the dress from wear on the day which may not be visible following additional alterations / cleaning. The dress has therefore been priced accordingly.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned since the wedding for £250 at a specialist dry cleaners.
