About the Dress

Worn once ;) David's Bridal wedding dress. I didn't wear it with a petticoat so it was not too poofy. I'd say it's somewhere between an A-line dress and a ballgown. Tulle and lace finish with zippered back and two clasps, one at the waist and one at the top of the zip. This floor-length, long-sleeve dress has a nice train without being unwieldy (see pictures for how it sits). This dress has a 24" flattering chapel train (suits most brides!) in both the underskirt and the tulle. The train can be looped over your wrist with the attached ribbon for getting into a vehicle etc or dancing - I swapped into something shorter for a boogie though! There is a simple and non-fiddly zip at the back and a gentle and flattery sweetheart neckline that could be described as a v neck neckline as it covers the shoulders at the front.

This dress was adjusted from a size 12 down to an 8 and it was great on the day... and I could happily eat in it(!) and not be self-conscious or uncomfortable. I would guess that it would not be advisable to get the bodice re-altered given it has been altered already but it is quite a forgiving shape. I am 5ft (151cm) but wore with 4" platform heels as my husband is tall and I got the dress tailored to be the right length for me with those shoes on (again, see pics). I reckon the length could possibly still be adjusted to suit someone 5'4" and below - or adjust your heel height and it might need no adjustments if you haven't bought shoes already!.

I got married in early May and felt suitably warm and not overly hot in it - I'd love someone else to get a special day out of it and I really need the space back. I had one of the best days of my life in it so I hope it brings you all the joy I had wearing it and celebrating! I had a shorter dress for the evening ceilidh so it was honestly worn for 8 hours or so.

I wear a 32B cup normally but it was roomy and there was some space in the bra-cups however the bust piece of the bodice held their shape in a nice natural look when I didn't fill them! (see pics!)

The dress has been professionally cleaned and the one imperfection is pictured: a tiny hole in the skirts from travelling through London (I believe would be invisible when worn). I'd say it looks as new.

Feel very welcome to pop around to try it on, zero pressure, I want it to be the right dress for you. We are easy walking distance from Kings Cross, Angel and Caledonian Road & Barnsbury stations. Feel free to message for more info. No question a silly question when getting the right wedding dress for you!
