The Dress

Hello and thank you for your interest in my dress!

This is a very special Monique Lhuillier dress, called the Josephine. It was perfect for the romantic, timeless and classic vibe I was going for. It is truly a special dress with impeccable construction. I am a clothing designer so I wanted something still unique and special even with a such a classic style, and after trying on probably about 50-70 dresses, this was the one. The top bodice is made of French lace applique which bleeds over the waist seam slightly onto the silk skirt to hide the waist seam. The back of bodice has a zip closure that is perfectly concealed by the lace appliques. The silk organza skirt is my favorite part, as it is handpainted with a gorgeous floral design. The organza is so lightweight and flowy, and underneath the top layer are multiple layers of tulle and also horsehair along the hem to provide lightweight structure and fullness to the skirt.

The train is cathedral length train for extra drama. It has a gorgeous French bustle, with color coded ties to fasten the train up toward the top of the skirt. I have a video of how to bustle that I can send you.

The dress is large and dramatic, yet somehow still lightweight and moved around beautifully with me. I loved a moment while being filmed by our videographer where I ran and the skirt was blowing and flowing behind me. I felt very ethereal and feminine all day long. Also the bodice is constructed so well and sits on you so that is supports the weight of the dress. It also has a waist belt that hooks in the back to keep the skirt up as the dress is being zipped. I don't ever remember having to fuss with the dress or pull it up as you normally see women do in strapless dresses.

The gown has been professionally dry cleaned, and has no tears or stains. It is ready to wear!

-5'4'' height, wore 5" inch wedge heels so I was 5'9" on wedding day
-Wear size 6 in dresses, 36B/C bras depending on time of month

Alterations

I added extra cups into the dress the day before the wedding because my boobs felt like they shrunk a whole size suddenly. If you don't need the cups, they are very easily removable. I can also remove them before shipping to you.
