The Dress

A lace and tulle dress with organic leaf and vine pattern ( a few flowers too!). The colours are ivory lace with ivory and moscato tulle over a moscato gown. The ivory leaf and vine pattern stands out vibrantly against the slightly darker moscato underskirts. The pattern and colour combination were perfect for my early autumn wedding. Though, I would have picked this dress for any time of the year. This dress was extremely supportive and felt fabulous. It has a decent train that was hooked up for dinner and dancing. I have listed the dress as US size 6 (according to the label). I have purchased it in the UK and label says UK size 9 (which was not an optional size to choose for UK). I have had it hemmed because I am 155 cm- however I wore platform wedding shoes to add 10 cm - so it is hemmed for about 164 cm height with shoes. I have had it professionally 'wedding dress' dry cleaned. There is one very small hole of 1.5 cm diameter in the top layer of tulle at the bottom of the dress towards one side (very hard to see amongst all of the layers- I have extra tulle and gown from the hemming ). The little elastic loop that holds up the train needs to be replaced as well- however I did not do this as someone can choose how long they want the train pinned up anyways. The bust was brought out slightly with steaming and hemmed as mentioned. My measurements from the wedding shop alterations were bust 35 in, waist 25 in, and hips 35.5 in (so I selected the closest in cm above).
