The Dress

I LOVED wearing this dress for my UK summer wedding. Worn just a short time for the church ceremony and first half of the reception, it’s in perfect condition, has no flaws, and I had no alterations made to it so it is original sizing. I do not typically care for lace dresses but the way this was done I. Cotton and silk made it look so modern but also timeless.

This Galvan design was a collaboration with Net-a-Porter and was exclusively sold through them. It is completely sold out, and I purchased the very last one available in a size Fr 36, it runs small for a 36 (I am typically a Sz 34/US 0 or 2 in dresses) and it fit me perfectly out of the box with no alterations.

i am 5’2, and wore 3.5 inch leather slingback Amina Muaddi heels for the ceremony (Margaux flats for the reception) and I am open to selling both or either shoes with the dress if interested (both size 38) - with my height, I typically need to have everything hemmed but with the way this dress is cut or works just as well on someone short or tall!

I did not have cups sewn into the chest, instead option for removable sticky bra cups (the back is sheet so standard bras won’t work). The craftsmanship and tailoring of this dress is really incredible. It was so flattering on and just made me feel both beautiful and sophisticated.

Panels of lace lined with silk crepe de chine alternate with sheer lace to create a summery feel. A deep V neckline and split in the skirt reveal glimpses of skin, while the waistline is accentuated by a sheer panel of embroidery.

Embroidery along the spine elongates the body and draws the eye to a slender train. A wrist loop at the base of the train allows the skirt to be lifted for dancing. The material is a blend of cotton and silk, with the lining being 100% silk.
