About the Dress

I absolutely loved this dress! I married my husband in an outdoor ceremony at a historic home in the fall. I wanted a classic look to match the venue, and one with either lace or some type of texture. This dress fit the bill! I chose the long sleeve option given the weather but the dress could easily be altered back to the cap sleeve in the stock photo. When I started wedding dress shopping, I assumed I would most interested in an A-line but this dress really held me in/was structured through the hips and thighs. Comfort on the dance floor was also of the UTMOST importance to me and this was a perfect fit!

Alterations

Two primary alterations - 1) Lis Simon offered the option to add long sleeves in place of the cap sleeves. I chose the long sleeves because my wedding was in October with a little bit of chill 2) I added an option clear "ribbon" that can be connected across the top of your back if you want to really lock in for the dance floor. This clear ribbon can also be removed with a small snap.

The dress fit me very well off the shelf so only had a little altering in the bust darts and length. Nothing across the waist or hips.
