The Dress

Reluctantly parting with the stunning "Athena" silk satin wedding gown from Karen Willis Holmes.

The Athena gown is a dream come true, featuring an effortless bias-cut satin design with a touch of art deco elegance. Every detail of this exquisite gown is crafted to make you stand out and showcase your unique bridal style on your special day. The dress includes a split in the skirt, a sultry V-neckline, and the most flattering seamlines that flow into ruching at the shoulders. Worn only for a few hours during the ceremony, as I had a different dress for the reception, this gown is in pristine condition. It has been professionally dry-cleaned at Leon Dry Cleaning, costing $520.

The provided pictures highlight the dress beautifully from the front, back, and side. The 7th picture captures the elegant fall of the gown, while the 6th picture showcases the fabric’s radiant glow in the sunset, creating a mesmerising pearl-like effect.

Alterations

The front hem was shortened as it was very long. I am 175cm tall and wore low heels with a 2.9" heel, and the dress fell perfectly to my feet with my toes visible, as seen in the 6th picture. Additionally, the waist was taken in for a more tailored fit, and cups were added, which can be easily removed if desired. Diamond shapes were added under the armpits, which complement the diamond shape on the front of the dress, visible in the 5th picture.
