The Dress

Vintage Custom Filipino Jusi Barong Tagalog brocade woven fabric wedding dress with pearls, embroidered flowers and sequins. Worn once in 1998. Professionally cleaned in Denver by a Korean owned Wedding dress preservation lab in February.

"Jusi" became synonymous with silk organza from China, and the banana leaf fiber. Jusi fabric was no longer produced. Pina Jusi Fabric: Woven Pineapple Fiber Elegance
