The Dress

This is a Sottero and Midgley Couture dress named Agata Louise. This is from their 2020 bridal line and hard to find in bridal salons today. It features the most STUNNING embroidery from head to toe, and is a sheath style dress. The overlay of embroidery is ivory and the underneath color is called “stone”
(A beautiful super light taupe). This dress is definitely for the more refined boho bride. The MSRP price was $3000 and I spent an additional $500 to clean and preserve the dress to be just as beautiful as the day I brought it home from the bridal salon. This means that it’s not only been cleaned thoroughly, the color, shape, and embroidery have all been preserved to keep its original beauty. An additional $600 was spent on alterations. Keep in mind that the most expensive part of altering a dress is hemming it. Any other alteration of taking in our letting out is not as expensive.

Alterations

The dress was hemmed to my height which is 5 feet, 5 inches and I wore 1.5 inch heels with the dress. My chest is rather small (B cup size) so the shoulder straps were brought in tighter. I also let out the dress 1 inch in the rib cage area for comfort. Lastly, I added a 3 button bustle to the back of the dress to keep the train of the dress off the floor when done with the ceremony. Dimensions listed are what the dress came as before alterations (except height).
