The Dress

Gorgeous details, subtle sparkle, lace, sexy and classy and it had sleeves* - It's like they say...when I put the dress on, I knew it was "the one" BUT it had this nude lining under the lace and I was hoping for ivory or white... Fortunately the wonderful ladies at Vivienne Atelier offered that a seamstress could change the lining for me and they made a suggestion for an awesome seamstress in the area. I really lucked out! We selected an ivory miyuki stretch satin and a white arabella poly satin for the new lining. The seamstress brought the dress in to "hug" my curves without restricting my movement. The final product was beautiful...yes there were tears but happy ones! I had a gorgeous dress to make me feel like a princess and I danced the night away!
*The sleeves were attached under the arm and left the shoulders open (cold shoulder) - BUT it was restrictive, I couldn't raise my arms (which I needed to do to dance...and hug my husband, etc). The seamstress suggested to cut the sleeves from the dress and make them like gloves...it worked out great!

Alterations

Nude lining changed to Ivory, Bra cups inserts, flexible ribbing, bustle, removed sheer and lace sleeves and added some sticky silicone to stay on my arms (like a glove), final alterations were to fit to size
