The Dress

I felt like a million bucks in this dress. My goal was to be “red carpet ready” and feel Hollywood glam. I also wanted a bit of an edge to my dress, and the designer’s signature black exposed zip made this edgier less traditional look possible, yet still has that traditional gorgeous wedding look. Purchased at Loho Bride in 2023.

Maticevski knows how to make women feel like goddesses. His designs are all over the red carpet. The material is thick, and the dress fits like a glove. I felt like the dress hugged my curves and hid my imperfections. The back side of the dress falls Assymetrical, creating a heart shape and hugging hips/bottom perfectly.

I wore it off the shoulder, but the top can also turn into a cowl neck/halter if that is preferred. You can wear/style the top of the dress several ways. I did need to use fashion tape to keep the creases of the top where I wanted them. There are shoulder straps (I did not wear) that help to keep the dress on your shoulders if preferred. Refer to the designer website for inspiration.

I’m 5’4” and the dress was altered perfectly with 3” heels dusting the floor. There is a small train the runs the back of the dress.

The Allegro Gown is the hero of this season with signature architectural elements combined with expert draping. Features unique off the shoulder gathering to create the most elegant of silhouettes, exposing the shoulders and accentuating the decolletage. Underneath lies a crisp cut bodice drawing into a perfectly fitted waist. Subtle and precise panelling fashions asymmetric gathering at the right hip. Finished with an elegant train and closed at the side with an exposed zip.

Alterations

Expertly altered by The Tailor in Beverlywood, CA. Alterations cost $950.00. Paula was amazing and knows the female body and how to alter complicated dresses. This one is asymmetrical and needed an expert eye.

List of alterations:
- Size 4 to fit size 2 measurements [removed] pounds)
- Length to dust floor - 5’4” and I wore 3” heels.
- Created a soft fold on the right hip to create a cleaner line through the middle of the dress.
- adjusted the back side of the dress for a better fit around the rear.
