The Dress

Gorgeous, unique Pronovias wedding dress that I absolutely loved wearing on my Gatsby vintage-themed wedding day in August 2015. I purchased the dress new from bridal store in the DC-area during a Pronovias trunk sale. Nothing would make me happier than to find another bride who is equally excited to stun in this dress! Description:
Strapless lace and tulle mermaid dress with scalloped, semi-cathedral train that can be easily tied into a french bustle. Bodice has appliqués with crystal precious stones and skirt has additional guipure appliqués over ethereal petite pois tulle. Low back with delicate buttons; bodice hugs the body beautifully before expanding into the mermaid skirt above the knee.

The dress was incredibly comfortable considering the long train and layers of crinoline under the mermaid. It bustled very well, and I had no issues walking around and dancing. I purchased a beautiful silvery cream sash as a final finishing touch, which is included in the dress sale.

Alterations:
I am short (5'3") so the dress was hemmed to fit my height, with room for 3 inch heels. I also altered the top to have a sweetheart neckline, trimmed with lace that came from extra fabric at the bottom of the dress. The seamstress also added bra cups to fit my 32C-equivalent bust, which can be removed and exchanged for a new size.

Condition:
Dress was professionally cleaned immediately following my wedding and is practically like new! No stains or tears.
