The Dress

Hand-made Netta BenShabu gown. The top of the dress has strapless, sweetheart neckline that has the boning of a corset. The details of this dress include hand-made embroidery over lace with intricate stones and glass beading throughout the bodice leading down to the skirt.

The bottom half of the dress is a sheath (straight) style made of layers silk chiffon fabric. I had a custom detachable skirt made that seamlessly clips on the bodice of the dress. This detachable skirt is made of satin organza fabric because I wanted it to be thicker than the fitted skirt.

The clips for the skirt are so well hidden, you won't see them unless you know where they are!

This dress was only worn for 4 hours of the entire day/ceremony/reception because we had numerous outfits. Because of that, all of the beading is in tact, the zipper is good, and there are zero tears in the seams.
It passes the dancing and sitting tests

This dress was purchased at Mira Couture in Chicago and was hand-made in Europe.

Alterations

This dress was ordered in a bridal size 14 and altered down in the hips to fit a bridal size 10 or street size 4/6. I ordered a size up so the cups would be proportionate. I was a size (small) 34B at the time and also had cups sewn into the dress so I wouldn't need a bra.
