The Dress

I love this dress so, so much and as much as I don’t want to part with it, I also don’t want it to be hidden away to never be used again. It deserves to be shown off!

I wore it once in January for my beach wedding and garden reception and everyone raved on about my dress.

This dress is perfect for a beach/garden wedding or a bride who just wants a dress at a manageable length so you’re not always tripping over yourself; you don’t need people to assist with a pesky train and you can hit the dance floor easily too.

The dress is not pure white, instead it’s more of an off white/ivory colour with a slight grey tinge. I tried the pure white on in store, but all my bridesmaids and I much preferred the ivory.

It’s a super flattering cut. The V-neck lengthens the neck line and creates height and it cinches in at the waist before kicking out into the A-line tulle, making the waist look even smaller. The cascading lace on top of the multiple layers of tulle create a beautiful whimsical look and the dress is still quite lightweight. Where the V-neck is and V’s under the arms are, there is a thin layer of mesh, which helps to keep the dress in place.

I purchased the dress for $3400 and the veil $160. Alterations were $400. It has been dry cleaned and is in excellent condition.

Alterations

Hem taken up to allow ease of walking in both heels and flat shoes.
Shoulders shortened slightly to fit petite height.
