The Dress

Nalu means “wave” in Hawaiian - Bias cut liquid satin slip dress with a draped off-one-shoulder sleeve, cowl back and train.

Collection VI ‘Wave’ embodies the flow of waves - the natural essence of beauty. Effortless and balanced, yet sensual and uplifting. Clean lines, delicate details, and flattering silhouettes.

The liquid satin shows off fluid movement, soft drape and sensual glow. The design details and volumes that mimic the waves are gentle and calm but spectacular and dramatic at times. Washing off the excess, leaving the styles clean and balanced.

The dress is in excellent condition. It was dry cleaned immediately and assessed by Fall Bride, the bridal studio in London where I bought the dress, as in excellent condition ('appears new with minimal marks and no major flaws').

This dress was worn once for my wedding ceremony and I changed into another outfit for dancing. There is a little bit of pulled threading due to the delicate material of the liquid satin, but nothing noticeable.

Alterations

Hemming and a very slight alteration at the lower back to take in excess material so that there was no gaping. There is also an internal hook for a bustle. The dress fits a UK size 6.
