The Dress
Sophisticated sleeveless 1940s charmeuse gown with unique braided satin peter pan collar and generous braided waist tie. The belt is finished in 8" satin streamers. Empire bodice has a chevron waistline and opens at front with covered buttons (shown only partially buttoned). Glamorous circular train can be hemmed if you prefer floor length. Condition is good with only occasional faint spot or light soil, primarily on train, a button needs to be sewed on the front, and there is a small tear on the end of the dress. The buttery charmeuse fabric has no signs of weakness. Measures bust 34+" (extra room in the shirring of the bodice cups), waist 29" (cinchable), length 62" at front and 25" additional at rear. The unique braidwork makes for an especially memorable Golden Hollywood era charmeuse.
