The Dress

This was the dress i had always dreamed of wearing on my wedding day. It is such a classic and timeless style, it was so comfortable and easy to wear.

This dress was purchased in a size small and it had some alterations. It was hemmed and also had some darts put in the back of the skirt (at the top near the belt) for a more snug fit around my waist (see photo). The fabric is quite forgiving so even if your measurements are a little bigger than mine it will likely still fit as the fabric has got a bit of give in it. The original style of this dress had the bridal buttons down the zip line on the back of the skirt but i had the dress made without them as i wanted a more timeless look.

It rained on our wedding day and the bottom of the dress got a bit dirty but the dry cleaners did an amazing job cleaning it, you can see in the photos at the quality of the cleaning.

This dress was dry-cleaned in 2022 and has been kept in the original garment bag and is in perfect condition. I contemplated passing this dress onto my daughter but i have decided I am ready to pass onto another beautiful bride.
