The Dress

This dress for me was just the perfect combination of sexy / princess! The dress has so many layers to it and so many details that come together to create a breath taking dress. The corset top gives you that sexy bride look and the applique flowers and layers of sheer fabrics give you that perfect bride look but without overloading you with heavy fabric. I love how the bottom of the dress is ever so slightly sher in the sunlight and the shape of the dress is so flattering - if you want that hourglass figure then this is really the perfect dress. The fabric is a nude base with a stunning sheer glitter overlay that shimmers and sparkles so much in the light and in the dark with the lights and camera flashes. It features sheer side panels studded with diamonte crystals and a gorgeous layered train that fans out behind you as you walk giving a dramatic look. I felt so amazing in it and it was also surprisingly easy to move around in (though this was partly due to the alterations and adjustments I made to ensure this - see below). It has a nude body suit fitted in the interior so you feel secure when wearing it. I only wore this dress for a few hours for the first part of our wedding and then after our first dance I went to change into another dress for the reception so that it didn't have to worry about it getting wrecked.

Alterations

I made quite a few alterations to this dress which is reflected in the price, though I think that most of these would really benefit you more than anything as I spent £2,000.00 making these alterations and most of them were to make the dress more comfortable / easy to walk around and dance in. I only adjusted the length very slightly by around 2cm as I am quite tall (5 ft 9 in heels) and wanted it long. I also reduced the train slightly as when I bought it the train was several metres long! I kept it long enough to to trail along the ground and give that gorgeous fanning shape, but the slight reduction just made it easier to walk around / move / dance in and gave it a nicer shape. I added a bustle (tiny loops into the train) which you can hook up to a tie around your wrist to stop the train from getting trodden on when navigating around dinner / drinks post ceremony. I had it taken in through the waist and hips as I wanted it to really hug my figure (see my measurements for details). I altered the bust to suit a 34'' B - C cup size and asked them to add a bit more of the glittery silver fabric around the top of the bust which you can see in the photos. Lastly, I made the shoulder straps removable on poppers which was really useful as I loved the look of them but though they are stretchy they are quite restrictive so I had them on for the ceremony / drinks and then I removed them for dinner and dancing which gave me the freedom to dance easily and freely without feeling restricted or worrying about breaking them.
