The Dress

This modern, structural, off the shoulder 'MET' gown was part of Georgia Young Couture’s Nolita. Incredibly flattering, yet comfortable at the same time - a timeless gown with a modern twist. I loved this dress from the minute I tried it on and knew it was 'the one'!

The "MET' gown has a mesh overlay in white with white silk underlay with a structured inner bodice built into the gown with a concealed back zip. The strategic ribbon in the skirt enhances, flatters and flows beautifully. The bodice sits flush against the body with boning inside ensuring everything stays in place and secure with no lumps or bumps showing from any viewpoint whilst being very comfortable. The mesh overlay creates structure without being overwhelming with detail. The straps go over your arms and secure with a pearl button at the back, can be easily undone and tucked into bodice for another look. Full train with hook up system.

I decided to have another cheaper dress for dancing and to minimise damage to this gown. I have also had it professionally dry cleaned by Leons in Brisbane to bring it back to near perfect condition (see video).

Alterations

Gown was hemmed, hook up system added, pearl button to secure the arm straps added and C cups added for bust support (these are easily removable).
