The Dress

An elegant, floral light and flow dress from Cocoon Bridal in Hong Kong. This was originally a sample dress but it is kept in such good quality I couldn’t tell it was a sample dress and I loved this one so so much that I’m selling this last on StillWhite… this was the dress I wore on our big day! What I loved most about it was the detachable overskirt with the long train. I took it off after walking down the aisle, and partied in that dress after!!l

Dress detail + design:

Bodice: it is structured beautifully with bones and the fabric in between is just so soft, transparent, and shimmery (the subtle kind!!). The floral patterns are elegant with tiny beads and sequins concentrated on the flower centres. Off-shoulder is flattering for girls who want to cover their arms a bit and draw more attention to their decollete! The inside cup/pads seem removable by a seamstress.

1st Layer: the soft silk-like peach fabric that sits against your skin. This is essentially like a mini skirt underneath as you will have the slit open to here!
2nd + 3rd Layer: these two are attached together; a stiffer layer and one that is sheer, wet-shimmery looking (almost like Fenti’s diamond bomb kind of glitter - if you know you know). There is a slit that sits on the left leg and it really makes the dress more modern!
4th Layer: A sheer soft and translucent tulle layer on the outside

2.5 meters detachable train/ overskirt!!: the overskirt/train is about 2.5 meters long, and it is insane looking. A thin layer of tulle-like material with large white floral embroideries on top of a more robust material gives it structure. I have a video of this. There are 4 buttons to attach it to the dress sides (2 on each side) and the floral patterns overlap to seamlessly blend in together. It does need steaming as you’ll see in the photos and videos it’s got wrinkles.

Veil: I will be including the floral veil pictured as well!! So you'll be all set!

Size: There is no label size, but I reckon it can fit a UK8-10. On top, I usually wear size UK10 and for bottoms, I wear 10/12. This is an A-line style dress so there shouldn’t be much problem with pear-shaped bodies! My bust is size 34B and in the photos, it looks good only cause of my nude bra and my makeup artists' good techniques!! It is a semi-low back so there might be a bit of lee-way in terms of bust size and alterations. The front of the dress is shorter (floor length) with a slightly longer train (I can provide you measurements in chat).

The dress plus the protective bag weighs 2.6kg. Although not the star of the show, it will come with a high-quality wedding dress dust bag - that alone cost me an extra £30+. But it was truly worth it as it has one separate white mesh bag and the outer brown bag that really protects the whole dress, unlike those fabric dust bags that easily tear!

Alterations

No alterations were made apart from adding an extra hook to the back of the dress just above where the zip is. I lost quite a bit of weight leading up (stress lol) so they added a hook just in case I needed to take it in a bit more! It’s not visible at all if you don’t use it.
