The Dress

A very airy, light and flow dress from Cocoon Bridal in Hong Kong. This was originally a sample sale dress but kept in pristine quality so I bought it as my back up dress, but I ended up not using it for the pre-wedding shoots or the wedding! So it’s not been used since I bought it!

Dress detail + design: it’s designed meticulously, so here we go, starting from the inner most layer!
1st Layer: the soft silk-like white fabric this sits against your skin
2nd Layer: a stiffer layer with bands of thicker material to create the dress shape “flow” and “wave” inside
3rd Layer: A sheer soft and translucent layer to give the layers more privacy
4th Layer: a thin layer of tulle-like material with the large embroideries with subtle sequins and lace.

The bodice is not completely opaque. The cups inside are sewn in (not sure if it can be removed) but they are of nude/beige colour. The pattern at the front is very intricate with lace, leaf and floral patterns running down finished with light sequins and beadings. Will send you more photos/videos in the chat!!

Size: There is no label size, but it's somewhere between a 10-12 Medium. On top I usually were size UK10 and for bottoms, I wear 10/12. This is an A-line style dress so there shouldn’t be much problem with Pear shaped bodies! My bust is size 34B but girls with more cleavage would hold up the dress nicer! It is a semi low back so there's a lot of lee-way in terms of bust size and alterations. The front of the dress is shorter, with a much longer train (I can provide you measurements in chat). I altered the straps (notice it’s double straps! Which is cool because you can arrange them in a V-shape for another style in the photoshoots) a little shorter but I believe the seamstress was very smart as she just hid It within the dress instead of taking it off - so theoretically it can be undone to the original strap length (again good for bigger busts).

The dress plus the protective bag weighs 2.1kg. Although not the star of the show, it will come with a high-quality wedding dress dust bag - that alone cost me an extra £30. But it was truly worth it as it has one white mesh layer, and the outer brown bag that really protects the whole dress, unlike those fabric dust bags that easily tear!

Alterations

I altered the straps (notice it’s double straps!
