The Dress

This beautiful original Pronovias dress was worn by my daughter Jess at her October 2022 Derbyshire wedding. I am selling it on her behalf as she has now returned to her home in Australia.

The dress is the epitome of bridal elegance in ivory mikado silk and was simply stunning on her wedding day!

My daughter says it was extremely comfortable to wear as it is beautifully lined with a lightly boned bodice with adjustable bra (no need for other underwear) and the skirt has loops so that it can be pulled up for the evening. It has pockets too!

It has been professionally dry cleaned by a bridal specialist.

Alterations

Jess had a few adaptations made by a highly experienced bridal seamstress to the original Sedna dress (you’ll find pics of this on the Pronovias website) including a thigh high split in the skirt and an additional piece of fabric (ordered at the same time as the dress so it’s exactly the same) was added as an off the shoulder ‘sleeve’ on the opposite side to the feature sleeve. (This could be easily removed if you prefer the original style of the dress). The feature sleeve was reduced slightly in height.

It was taken in at the waist by around 5cm (2”) and tapered to the under arm. Jess is 157cm tall (5ft 2”) and wore a 10cm (4”) heel.

If you are taller the dress could be worn ballerina length and would still look amazing.
