The Dress

Monterey by Madi Lane was the most comfortable gown on my wedding day. The lace overlay is a very delicate botanical theme with translucent sequins & beading. The satin ivory belt is removable but works well to cinch the waist & break up the pattern. The gown is fitted but by no means figure hugging.

I felt like an absolute princess in this gown & I was a bit self conscious of my post baby body it hid all my lumps & bumps & accentuated all the right bits. We had a very hot day for the ceremony & the dress allowed me to enjoy the day without overheating. It is quite light considering it is fully lined & very easy to move around, sit down & even carry my toddler for the whole ceremony.

Alterations

Alterations as follows
-The tulip sleeves have been loosly tacked for slightly more arm coverage
- The shoulders have been taken up as I have a short torso
- Hips have been taken in approx 2 inches either side.
- Waist approx 1 inch each side
- A bustle was added to the underskirt which was worn up for the day to showcase the lace train
- A bustle is on the lace overlay also
- No change to the length of the gown
