The Dress

I absolutely LOVED my dress and would love for someone else to feel just as joyous and beautiful in it as I did. This gown perfectly captured my personal style, which tends to be classic with a modern feel and clean lines. I loved the simple elegance and sleek shape, which was very flattering. I will also add that my best friend, who has very different measurements than I do, tried it on last summer for fun after getting engaged, and looked so stunning in it that she actually serious considered wearing it at her wedding (the last two pics are from when she tried it on), but alas, it didn't fit the more casual vibes she ended up going with, so here we are!

I marked the condition as "excellent-- no flaws", however there is one tiny little flaw-- the hook piece of the hook-and-eye clasp at the top of the back of the dress came off while I was dancing the night away. This is a very easy and affordable fix, and you could probably DIY if you don't wanna spend any extra $$. It has been dry cleaned and is in otherwise excellent condition. I will add exact measurements as soon as I find my fabric measuring tape but for reference, at the time of my wedding (I've since had a baby so this has changed) I was a 36 C cup, weighed about 140-145 lbs, and am 5'6 without heels. For my wedding I didn't wear very high heels, probably about 1.5 inches.

The dress I initially tried on when I first chose this gown (pictured here as well) was a sample size 4 and so it was quite snug, but you get a sense of how absolutely stunning the back of this gown is with the buttons going all the way down. This was really what sold me on the gown and I can't tell you how many compliments I got about the back of this dress, which gave me a very shapely behind even though I don't naturally have one!

Alterations

I ordered the gown a few sizes too big to allow for alterations, so it was taken in at the waist and bust, and the straps were shortened. It was also hemmed at the bottom by a few inches and a couple of layers of the inner lining under the skirt were removed, as I didn't want too dramatic of a flare out.
