The Dress

I bought this dress off the rack. It was the first dress I picked to try on - there was something special about the unique detailing, like nothing I'd seen before, that drew me to it. I absolutely loved wearing this dress on my wedding day. It fit like a glove. It is fun and flirty, yet tasteful. The lace is gorgeous and delicate without being too frilly. What especially caught my eye about this dress was the beading and scalloped ribbon on the collar, straps, and waistband. It adds extra texture that makes the lace pop. On top of that, I am obsessed with the fringe dangling over the open back. It actually felt really nice as the fringes moved about, and added a really unique detail that is gorgeous in pictures. The dress comes with matching fringe armbands/sleeves (shown in last 2 photos) that I put on later in reception to add some extra flair on the dance floor. Such a whimsical touch. Alterations

I got minor alterations at a professional bridal alterations shop. The dress fit me so well off the rack, so none of the alterations actually altered the shape of the dress aside from the hem. I have the write-up of the alteration order, which includes:
*added a hook at the top of the neck on the back
*secured loose beads
*moved dress hangers to be more discreet
*added cups
*reduced fabric in chest (this kept some of the boning but removed bulk that made the bodice more structured)
*hemmed all around - I am 5'5" and wore 3" heels
*added a bustle with with 3 buttons on the outside to the break of the skirt, and a ribbon under the skirt to loop onto hand/wrist to hold the train up if desired
*removed netting at the top edge of the neck to reduce scratchiness
