The Dress

This exquisite Ian Stuart was purchased at Kleinfeld's Toronto in 2015. It was made with a matching jacket that extends the ethereal feel of the lace and appliques around your silhouette. I truly felt as if a cloud of butterflies adorned me as the name suggests.
The jacket can be easily removed for the evening's festivities and the long lacy train can be bustled for dancing. The Ian Stuart team has an amazing eye for detail. They even thoughtfully placed a cute blue bow on the inside of the dress for my 'something blue'. It really made me feel like a beautiful bride.
The construction of the dress is quite sturdy to maintain the desired shape yet distributes the load comfortably. This level of sophistication made me feel like I had never worn anything like it before.
The dress and jacket were dry cleaned by Kleinfeld's and come in protective plastic zipped up inside a Kleinfeld's dust bag with the original Ian Stuart tags. I've held on to this dress for so long because I love it. But it's too beautiful to keep it stored away and I would love for it to be worn for its intended purpose once more.

Alterations

This dress is quite fitted and though I am very close to a standard 14 it still required alterations to follow my personal curve smoothly. A rhinestone belt was added to accentuate a narrow waist-- essential for us curvy petite ladies. All alterations were done by the extremely talented Kleinfelds team. This dress will come with a small baggy of extra beads for your tailors' use.
