The Dress

I saw and bought this dress for my wedding which was supposed to be in 2021, but we ended up post-posting because of COVID. We had a baby, changed venues, and well... this dress didn't end up being the right fit anymore! I did wear it for a few hours to sing with the Boston Symphony, but besides that it's only been tried on in my apartment (please enjoy the kitchen photo shoot!). In some of the photos I am wearing a white lace turtle-neck top that I purchased at BHLDN/anthro in 2023. Loved this look too!!

Alterations

Originally the back had a kind of bra-strap going across the mid-back, but I found that unflattering and had a tailor alter it so the back just curves to meet with the amazing giant bow!!! The tailor also added a bit of sheer peachy/flesh mesh to the front V--just for a little extra stabilizing. The original gown had a longer train too--now it just has a nice tiny one.
