The Dress

Beautiful Tiffanys ivory A-Line dress that made me feel like a princess on my wedding day this year. As soon as I tried it on, I just loved it and knew it was the one! I am a high-street size 12 and the dress fit almost perfectly, with only small alterations needed to shorten the straps. It fit in all the right places, supporting my breasts and emphasising my waist - with a beautiful, thick strip across the waist - and it flows down to the floor. I am quite tall (5 foot 9) and the length was just perfect in 4 inch heels, so it just swept above the floor.

The dress has a low v-neck front, with a bit of mesh to slightly cover the cleavage, and a beautiful low open back. There are buttons all the way down to the bottom at the back, starting at the waist and going to the end of the train. The train is moderate, however I had a secret button put in - halfway up the back buttons - with an elastic hoop underneath, so that I could hook up the train in the evening, to keep it off the floor when we danced the night away. I felt incredibly comfortable the whole day and it was easy and comfortable to move around and dance in.

One massive plus for me was the pockets - which was helpful to tuck a handkerchief in, to pad some tears away!

There are several layers of net under the skirt, which give it a beautiful structure. I didn't want a ballgown or anything too 'poofy', so the dress still flows neatly down and doesn't go out too much, but the net allowed the dress to hang on my body elegantly and flow nicely down. I also bought a petticoat with a small ring in to wear underneath, which I can happily include if desired.

There is one button missing at the back, however I still have the bag of spare buttons, which I will pack in the box upon delivery. The only other flaws are 2 small and faint dirt stains at the very bottom at the back on the train and on the bottom buttons. The dress has been dry-cleaned, so they have faded, but you can just see them if you look closely.

Other than that, the dress is in perfect condition and looks beautiful, ready for a new owner and to make the nest bride glow on her wedding day!

Alterations

The breast cups were taken out to optimise comfort, but the fabric is still very structured and supportive.
Straps over shoulder were shortened very slightly.
Secret button and elastic loop put in to hook up the train in the evening.
No major alterations made or anything taken in, so it is very much true to size.
