The Dress
Stunning hand-designed Mark Zunino gown bought at Kleinfeld in New York. Mark Zunino no longer designs wedding gowns for non-Hollywood brides, so this is your chance to own a truly one-of-a-kind designer dress! There is not another like it, nor was there when it was initially designed because everything on it was hand-crafted by Mark Zunino.
This gown is made of silk and it includes hand-cut and hand-sewn appliques all over the bodice of the gown, in addition to applique sections on the front and back of the skirt that cascade into the completely silk skirt of the gown. The dress has a lovely, dainty, soft one-should attachment of appliques that compliments the sweetheart design of the neck perfectly. There is a nice train a few feet long, and it has a pearl wrist attachment for the train when dancing (see picture) in order to preserve the silk material and appliques. The dress could be altered to have a bustle if you prefer.
This gown was originally designed for the runway, so it is a size 6 in wedding gown sizing, which is closer to a 2 or 0 in everyday sizing. As you can see in my measurements, I have a smaller torso and chest with larger hips, which the ballgown design accommodates perfectly. My chest is definitely on the smaller side, so I had cups put in, but you could have those removed if you have a larger chest. Additionally, there is an incredible corset-style boning and fastening on the inside of the dress, so the dress will not move at all once you are secured in it. The dress is easy to walk in and dance in because of the silk material and strongly fastened internal pieces.
I am just shy of 5'5" and I wore the dress with 3.5" Badgley Mischka wedding heels, so I think the length of the dress would work well for anyone 5'8" or below.
The dress has been perfectly cleaned and preserved by a top-of-the-line wedding preservation specialist. The box even has images of the dress attached to it as a reminder of what the dress looks like so you can see the gown without having to open the box itself.
I am happy to provide any additional pictures or information if you would like it! My hope is that someone else gets to enjoy this sensational, one-of-a-kind gown! Please feel free to contact me with an offer, too!
Alterations
I included the specifics in the description, but the dress was altered to fit my waist (my measurements included in the description), and cups were added in the chest that could be removed. The gown was also hemmed to the length I explained above.
