The Dress

This Monique Lhuillier wedding dress was an absolute dream! I knew the very moment I put this dress on that it was 'the one'! I loved when I walked how the bottom moved and flowed, it was just perfection in every way possible! The eyelash fringe at the strapless neckline softens the curve-hugging fit of the lace gown that bursts into lavish layers of tipped organza at the dramatic mermaid skirt. Dainty lace appliqués drift down the skirt to complete the romantic style. It was one of the most comfortable dresses I had tried on (I tried on at least 30 dresses before this one) and it also was the easiest for me to move around in! The train is stunning and it bustles up so its very easy to move around and dance in for the reception! The dress has been dry cleaned to look brand new and is packed in a museum box for the absolute best restoration possible! Sad to part ways with this beauty but can't wait for someone else to get to wear this incredible gown for their special day!

The dress is a size 4 however I had it taken in a significant amount where it actually fits more like a size 0-2. I am 5'7" tall and had the length adjusted to be perfect floor length. I also had white silk buttons added to the back lining the entire zipper down and then it stops right at the end of the lace where the layers begin. The button's are not actual functioning - just for an added detail to the back. The entire wedding dress staff loved the button detail even more than without it!

Alterations

Taken in to fit smaller and had the silk buttons added that go down the back.
