The Dress

I bought this dress at the end of May this year from a bridal boutique in Suffolk. It was sold as seen as a sample. It is the Ava dress from Sassi Holford's Love Conquers All collection (2021).

Incredibly flattering with its corset, beautiful button-up low back and A-line skirt, this dress is strapless but you have the option to add tulle straps, which are still available from Sassi Holford and cost £195 (the boutique did not have these with the dress when it was sold to me). There is a hook and eye system inside the corset, which is covered by the buttons, so you feel incredibly secure - no bra needed!

I have decided to sell this dress for the reason that it doesn't feel quite right for me - though I so wish it did! It's classic, it's flattering, it's beautifully made and it feels incredible on. It should really be with someone who can truly own it.

Flaws upon close inspection:
Owing to having been in storage, it will need steaming around the bottom. There are some faint marks around the train, which I presume are from people trying it on and walking around the floor. Happy to send more photos of these upon request. I wasn't too bothered about them as they weren't immediately noticeable and it would probably be trimmed anyway (I'm 5 ft 6 for reference). I imagine they will come out with dry cleaning. I have noticed a couple of very small marks - more like specks - one about 1.5 inches from the bottom at the front and one at the back near the buttons(see photo of one at back). These must have been there when I bought it as I've only taken it out of the bag once.

There have been no alterations to the dress. It is a size 14, but more like a 12. The measurements given are those of the dress, which I have tried to take accurately, but they may be out a bit. The length is that of the dress from top to bottom.
