The Dress

The beautiful ‘Raphaelle’ dress by White April, purchased from Jessica Bridal Couture in Auckland. I had SO many compliments on my dress, and I felt incredible in it! It’s really comfortable to wear, is lighter than it looks and has mesh across the plunging front and sides which made me feel so secure (and they’re almost invisible to the naked eye and hardly show in photos). I wore it all day and used a loop sewn in to bustle it up to dance in, as it has a bit of a train! I made changes to the design of the dress when I ordered it, to remove the additional floral appliqué from the bottom half of the dress, to shorten the train a bit, and I also chose to make the under layer of tulle a very subtle blush pink, which looks so light and soft against the ivory 😍 The dress has many layers, 2 outer layers of ivory tulle, nude lining and boning, and blush pink tulle under layer + built in padding. Dry cleaned in pristine condition, ready for its new bride!

Alterations

The only alterations made were to shorten the hem a bit, to shorten the straps at the shoulder, and to add in a loop for the dress to be bustled up to dance in.
