From Milla Nova's Iconic Collection - the Matilda royal ball gown in mikado silk with off-the-shoulders wrapped bodice and absolutely gorgeous long train. Features hidden side-seams pockets. I honestly thought I would go for a slim fit, but when I came across this dress I fell involve! I wanted something classic with a bit of wow factor, sophisticated, 'princessy' but not too much... and the Matilda gown hit the spot! It's like the most functional ball gown with its pockets and sewn in bra support (So no need to wear one). A beautiful cut and the sheen of the mikado silk made it extra pretty. The dress didn't feel heavy to wear either. I was so lucky to have found a boutique in Brisbane who stocked this dress because I was not settling for anything else. I have a very small bust, so I was worried about my breasts peeping out in the gap with the low-ish heart cut, but it has a corset type of support sewn within (with bra padding support too), so it sat perfectly snug, and I didn't need to worry about covering my chest if I had to bend forward.

The long beautiful train had a few shoe marks on it but has been removed by dry cleaning. There are small slight stains that are of a very light grey which are on the underside of the dress (cannot be seen) and a mark on the upside of the train that also cannot be seen as it is hidden within the folds.

Alterations

I had the front altered so it was shorter and sat perfectly with heels on. My height with heels on is 5'5" and they had cut off about 2 inches.
