The Dress

From the Monique Lhuillier Bridal Fall 2020 collection, this is the Tuileries gown.
[Also known as the J-LO People Magazine dress or the style of dress that Sophia Bush wore for her own wedding!]

Monique Lhuillier production time is about 6-8 months, so I hope this dress comes in handy for brides who want to skip that fuss and have the dress in hand ASAP!

Monique Lhuillier Bridal Size 2, fits like a US 0/2. Purchased at full price + $650 CAD alterations.

It was worn for about 5 hours for an outdoor shoot, and is in great condition. Due to the dress being worn outdoors, there are bits of faint discolouration on the hem-line, but once on, it is barely noticeable, especially with the stunning print.

It's super lightweight, and easily maneuverable. (There was a point in time I was running barefoot and it was a dream to float with the gown.) It's a very fussy-free dress, no worries about beading or lace or being careful with the dress. There is an organza lining, then a structured thicker organza interior that maintains the gown's voluptuous shape.

You may want to give it a light steam as it's been gathered at the bottom train when hung up. Although it's optional (I didn't have to steam it upon wearing it as the print masked the wrinkles well.)

Alterations

The balloon sleeves were slightly taken with about 1 inch from each side removed, in to be proportionate to my petite body. About 2 inches of the front taken off. (I'm 5'0 and wore 105mm heels.) A ribbon was sewn under the floor-length gown, so that you're able to pull and secure both side together as you walk. The bodice and all other elements remain a true Monique Lhuillier Bridal Size 2, fits like a US 0/2. B-cup push-up bra liners were added, but can be easily removed or replaced.
