The Dress

Hello beautiful brides! I absolutely loved this Netta BenShabu dress, I felt so beautiful and received so many compliments and comments on my dress. But as much as I would love to keep it forever I would rather this dress continue to get the love and appreciation it deserves.

The first thing I fell in love with is the soft eyelash lace that covers the whole outside of the dress. It is such a gorgeous and soft fabric that also has a weight to it that makes the dress cascade over your silhouette. It certainly made me feel confident and comfortable my entire wedding day, while still being delicate and sexy. The fabric does has a subtle sheerness to it. You could not see my undergarments or details through the fabric but you could see the shadow of my legs as I walked. The fabric underneath the dress is sparkly and adds a very delicate glimmer to the dress. It is subtle and doesn't show up in photos but looks stunning in person.

The second thing I fell in love with are the off shoulder straps. They are loose and sewn on elastic so they do not feel constricting at all. They are comfortable and also made of the soft lace which means they were not itchy in the slightest. They can also be worn on top of the shoulders as you can see in one of my photos.

The bodice has had no alterations made to it. It has a corset style fit to it with cute buttons that go down the back seam, but with a zipper. The back is completely sheer lace. As you can see I chose to wear shapewear underneath which came up to my waistline. I didn't think it would show in person but it ended up being visible in some photos. I am a 34B in bra size and I did find the boob cups were roomy. I think a c cup could fit the bodice as is. I ended up wearing sticky padded bra cups that normally clasp in the middle front but I left them unclasped due to the design of the dress. I felt like it helped me fill out the bodice a little better. I normally wear a dress size 4/6 and felt like this dress fit snug but comfortable.

Overall, the dress is in great condition. I did not wear this dress the whole night. I ended up changing into a sheath dress for the dancing at the end of the night after all of the planned stuff was wrapped up.

Alterations

Hemline and added bustle only. Bodice was left untouched.

Hemline: The center front hemline has been shortened to about 44-45" (the skirt fluffs out and was a little difficult to measure ourselves). The lovely bottom edge lace has been delicately sewn back on so that it can be easily moved up or down to add a couple inches. There are some small pockets where the edge lace has started to separate from the bottom of the skirt. This is not damage and can be easily reattached when you make alterations.

Bustle: A royal bustle style has been added where clasps attach at multiple points under the skirt.
