The Dress

Though it’s cliche, my wedding was one of the best days, and I felt so beautiful in this gown, but I decided that it’s silly to keep it inside a closet. I hope another bride can enjoy it for her awesome day! :-)

This is a classic ivory sleeveless lace sheath style from Maggie Sottero that was customized with matching lace cap sleeves and v-back and a rhinestone belt accent. It has a satin underlay with a layer of tulle in between in what I believe they referred to as antique ivory (one of the photos shows the three layers). The back is a zipper with decorative lace-covered buttons. The bodice has lingerie-style boning for support.

In my close look at the dress, I did notice some the back buttons were kind of looser (see photo), so those might need to be sewn on better. The edge of the lace sleeves have teeny tiny strings. I also noticed what might have been a makeup mark on one of the sleeves. I tried to take a photo showing these.

As bonus(es), I have some leftover lace that I purchased for the alterations. Good for any possible changes/repairs or to add to a headpiece or other accessories. I’d also be happy to include the shapewear and longline bra I wore. Let me know if you need those and I can tell you brand and size.

Any body measurements I gave in the profile were estimates as I’ve gained some weight since then (Thanks to Covid and delivery!) At the time, I was ~260 pounds and I’m 5’9” and wore flats. I wore a street size 20 plus. I’d be happy to take measurements on the gown itself if that helps.
