The Dress

I absolutely LOVE my wedding dress! I will be sad to say goodbye to it but happy for the bride who gets to have this dress at a much lower price! It is designed by Savin London. It is based on his most iconic "Alika" dress, but I paid extra to swap out the skirt to a pouffier skirt (but not ball-gown big). I'm very glad I did because the larger skirt photographed so beautifully and had more impact! I wanted a dress that is both classy, modern, and flowery and this dress completely delivered. The bow in the back is a very nice touch, the top is a very classy, fitted, crepe v-neck, but the most beautiful part is the details of the 3D-floral embroidered tulle skirt. It was a dream to wear it on my wedding day and I could twirl in it too! A simple cathedral veil was what I went with it and I think it was perfect.

For reference, I am 5'6 and I was wearing a 2.5 inch block heel. You can see my measurements here. I am typically a street size 4 for top and size 6 for bottom so I paid extra $250 to do a split size to bridal sizes 8/12/12 (which apparently is typical and what most girls have to do). Skirt swap cost $650. I ordered mine in a bridal shop in Chicago, which was then custom made then shipped here from London.

For alteration, we added a button bustle so it would easier for reception and also hemming so it fit my height.

I have only worn it once on my wedding day. After that, I had the dress professionally cleaned already. I have attached a video of the dress's current state. There is no flaw and it is like-new. The dress will be kept in a red plastic bag from dry cleaning, followed by the official bag that came with it from the bridal shop I purchased it from.
