The Dress

Label size 6, but I was a size AU 8. My measurements were B34", W26.5" and H38".

The material is Ivory Lace Tulle over light-gold sheath underlay, so the end colour was an off-white vintage look.

I absolutely loved this dress. It has a real classical timeless look and I love the detailing on the back. The material has some stretch to it so it was comfortable to wear all day, not stiff at all and felt flattering on.

Our wedding reception was held outdoors on a warm French summer day, but I felt cool in this dress as it is quite light-weight as far as wedding dresses go.

I've taken the dress out of its storage bag many times to air it out and it is in great condition. It has minimal marks along the bottom (mostly on the underlay which is unavoidable with a full length dress). I imagine a dry cleaner could easily remove these. I can only see these light marks if I am on the floor inspecting it up close.

Alterations

I had minimal alterations made to the dress, only to take in the dress very slightly around the bust and to tighten the straps a little. A bustle was inserted.

The length was unaltered (I am 5ft 9inches and wore 3-3.5 inch heels on my wedding day).
