The Dress

This Sophia Tolli design is a beautiful sleeveless misty tulle over satin A-line gown featuring an illusion lace deep-V neckline with fine pewter thread detailing and crystal encrusted beading. Lace appliques adorn the sweetheart bodice and cascade down onto the full skirt. There is a crystal encrusted beaded natural waist, an illusion lace double keyhole back encrusted with beading and button closure, finished with a zipper and a chapel train.

It was purchased from a bridal boutique in excellent condition with no signs of wear and tear.
The dress was worn on a dry (but chilly!) day, from approximately 12:40 until 18:30. A small amount of wear and tear is to be expected, particularly regarding the bottom of the outmost layer of tulle (pictured). With two layers of undamaged tulle underneath this, it is recognisable only if hunted for.

It was dry-cleaned following the wedding, though there were no stains to lift. The dry cleaners did take it upon themselves to trim the tulle on the outermost layer. This has resulted in a slightly uneven hem, which I have not touched since. If a prospective bride is under 6ft tall and alterations need to be made to the length of the dress, this will be inevitably straightened out by the seamstress and returned to almost new.

Alterations

The dress was altered by a wedding dress specialist and taken in at the bust, waist and hips. Owing to my height (6ft) the dress was not taken up in any way. Clear silicone strips were added to the straps for added comfort. The chapel train was not pinned up at any point during its wear.
