The Dress

This gorgeous gown is from the Mariana Hardwick bridal collection, Les Annees Folles. The Lilac gown is ivory and is made with silk georgette and cathedral lace. It has a stunning metallic silvery and gold tinge on the bust / corset which shows up beautifully in photos. It falls elegantly from the hips.

Created with a moulded corset, there is no need for a bra - the gown sits perfectly and flatteringly on the body and bust and is secured by straps at the inside layer with buttons to close the back. The skirt of the gown is fitted with practically invisible button loops and buttons, which can be used to pin the back of the dress for party time and to ensure no damage to the train!

This gown was custom made locally by the wonderful dress makers at the Mariana Hardwick studio in Brunswick, Melbourne. The gown was fitted to me at a size 10 (I am generally a size 10-12) with a 12D bust, at 173cm tall (with 12cm heels in the photos), so floor length it sits at 185cm.

The veil, made from matching materials, is included.
